Australia – Land of the Banned

There are a so many reasons why I am proud to be an American. Like… well I am sure there are some, but right now one reason is dominating my thoughts. Totally uncensored violence in my video games!

With the release of Fallout 3 on the horizon, it is no surprise that Australian gamers will not be enjoying this title. If they do it will be edited... and pointless. The Office of Film and Literature Classification are the dingleberries responsible for slapping an RC rating on Fallout 3 for unverified reasons, just like they have in the past for games like GTA IV. That rating means it’s illegal to sell the game in the Land Down Under.

This is a crying shame because the Fallout series is freaking AMAZING. Even though the first two games are ancient by today’s standards, they are still unforgettable and unique rpg/action/muthafuckingawsome games. They had it all. Violence, humor, and hours of post apocalyptic fun rolled into one very unique package. I can’t wait to see what Bethesda does with this game. Color me super pumped, sorry Aussies. At least you still have beautiful women!

Too violent? Methinks not!

If you haven’t played Fallout 1 or 2 pick them up. They are cheaper (and dirtier) than a Liberty City whore!
