Care to join me in a rousing game of Pong Toss?

In what has become the single most ridiculous uprising of parents, educators and even one state's attorney general to date JV Games the makers of Beer Pong have finally caved in to the naysayers and completely revamped and renamed their game to Pong Toss and beer has become cups of water. Beer Pong of course was based off of a well known college drinking game in which players throw a table tennis ball across a table with the intent of landing the ball in one of several cups of beer on the other end. When a ball lands in a cup, the defending team must consume all of the beer inside that cup. The game is won by eliminating all the other team's cups before one's own cups are eliminated. The losing team must then consume all the beer remaining in the winning team's cups.

The game was given a ESRB rating of T for teen which yes sounded odd to say the least but like I always say if you don't want your kid playing it then don't buy it for them! No I am not a parent but if a game came out that was rated T for teen that I didn't want my kid playing and they were still young enough to live under my roof there is no way he or she would be playing it end of story, I wouldn't be causing a stink because I didn't like the rating. The second argument that posed a threat to the game was that it promotes alcohol use and even abuse and binge drinking, which certainly seems a more realistic prospect than someone driving a car dangerously after playing 'Grand Theft Auto,' although obviously, that's a problem as well. But what the beer pong game does is much more immediate for teenagers than what happens in 'Grand Theft Auto.

What it will always boil down to is that people don't like to take responsibility for their own actions. People these days love to put blame on anything they think they can get away with. Yes my son killed 12 people but it was because he listened to Marilyn Manson, of course my kid ran someone down but he thought it was cool because he saw it on Grand Theft Auto. If your child or an adult does something dumb then it is their own fault not the fault of anything they listened to, played or watched so put on your big girl panties and deal with it! Don't bitch about a rating on a game and demand it be changed to your liking just don't buy the damn thing for your kid end of story!

On a side note I am frustrated with the makers of the game as well because they are to willing these days to bow down and not fight for what they know is the right thing.

"it promotes alcohol use and even abuse and binge drinking,"

don't bars and clubs do that also? Will those be shut down next?
