An Actual Blog
Alright, let's get down to business. I figure I'll test the new awesomeness with a couple game reviews. Remember if you don't agree with me, then feel free to leave your opinion in the comments section or do your own review.
In Short Words: I liked this game, played through it twice. 8.5/10
In Longer Words (The Ones with A.D.D. may want to skip this):
This is a good game. It's a great concept, and I think many other games like it will go on a succeed, but this one seemed to have a few things that held it back. If you like a simple control scheme, then don't even think about picking this game up. I'm not joking when I say this, the jump button in LB, Crouch is LT, Punch/Shoot is RT, and turning around really fast is RB. It takes a long time to get used to. I found my self turning around more times then jumping. I had it down on the second run through, so Hard mode really wasn't that hard for me. The game play is nice, it has a really good flow. Which is the way the game is made because you actually get achievements for going through level using special moves and stuff. If you hate dying and then respawning over and over again, you won't like this game. I'm not joking, I died 1000+ times on my first run through of the game. It's crucial in this game to be an observant person, other wise you will end up taking the very long way like I did. It's an over all good game, but it can get you mad easily, so be careful. I actually got my game scratched from me throwing the controller at the ground and it bouncing and somehow lightly tapping my 360. It was deadly. Yes I have Anger issues :P.
In Short Words: Awesome. Guitar's strum bar is odd. Didn't get the drum set yet. 9/10
In Longer Words: Awesome. I love the set list to this game, it's amazing. Music Studio is pretty cool, I love making drum tracks that are all 32nd notes, Its so hardcore. The Guitar's strum bar is kinda weird, I have a friend who's strum bar is already faulting out, not a good sign. The Slider bar is cool for just fun times and if your just goofing off, but it really sucks if your going for an FC or something. I wish I would've gotten the drum set so I could do a review of that. Oh well, soon enough it will be done. But yeah, over all this game is amazing.

You're right on the money with Mirror's Edge. I played the demo and that was it for me. I'm no longer a gamer that has the patience to sit and learn a complex control pattern. I want simple. The learning curve on this game is TOO steep for me. Rule of Thumb for me: If the demo is too complex to master, I don't want the full version. Watching vidoes of people who stuck it out does reveal a fluent awesome gameplay experience, but I'm not willing to put in the time and effort to get there.
I have GHWT. It is great. I enjoy it. What I'm not going to enjoy is seeing another release of the game that cost just as much but is offering me something I should be getting for DLC. I had the first Guitar Hero on PS2 and from them 'til now, throughout all of the different renditions, I see absolutely NO difference other than the songs I'm playing. Good game, but unless it's gonna start coming with hot and willing groupies, "party favors", and a tour bus, the game has hit it's cap which is not necessarily a bad thing.
