I am sure we have all heard about the U.S. Airways flight that went down and the pilot who stopped the plane from crashing that is now going by the name "hero". As it turns out U.S Airways is sending each passenger a check for $5000.00 because they said it will be months before any of the passengers see personal belongings they had with them. Personally I don't think they will ever see any of it but hey with technology these days maybe than can work something out. They are also reimbursing them for the money they paid for the "flight that failed". Here is the question that sits in the back of my mind. Is this because they really want to help OR because they know they are about to get sued for BILLIONS and are hoping this will stop that from happening?

Knowing how SOME people think these days I would bet my life that at least 5 of those people are going to sue the airline for a laundry list of things and although I don't usually agree with "sue happy" people I can't say I blame them in this situation. $5000.00 after a situation like that almost seems like a slap in the face. Yes I know they are all alive and the situation could have been worse in some aspects but it still just seems like a slap in the face.

This people is why I will NEVER get on a plane.
